Introducing XOROS by HighLife Samples, an audio effect plugin that combines rhythmic echoes, spacious reverb, automatic ducking, and stereo width in one intuitive interface.
From clear vocals and expressive leads to shimmering plucks, wide pads, and subtle synth-bass ambience, XOROS helps you add depth and movement while keeping your source in focus.
Shape the balance between Echo and Space with the central spaceship XY pad, sync your effects to the project tempo, and blend the atmosphere into your mix.
Three Inspiring Characters
Choose a starting point, then shape it to suit your track.
- VOCAL: A starting point for adding ambience around vocals while keeping phrases clear.
- LEAD: Explore rhythmic echoes and spacious tails for melodies, synth leads, and plucks.
- DREAM: Build expansive atmospheres for pads, breakdowns, and creative sound design.
Each character loads its complete starting settings, with Duck set to 30%.
Take Full Control of Your Sound
- ECHO: Adjust delay time, feedback, tone, and level. Follow your DAW tempo with musical divisions, including dotted and triplet timings, or choose a manual delay time.
- SPACE: Shape the reverb with Size, Decay, Pre-delay, and Level controls. Set pre-delay in milliseconds or sync it independently to your project tempo.
- DUCK (0–100%): Reduce the wet ambience while your source plays, allowing echoes and reverb to recover between phrases.
- WIDER (0–200%): Narrow or expand the stereo width of the effects while preserving the dry signal.
- MIX (0–100%): Blend the original sound with the processed ambience. Start around 40% for a clean vocal, or use 100% for send/return processing.
- OUTPUT (-24 to +12 dB): Adjust the final output level.
- XY PAD: Move the spaceship horizontally to adjust Echo Level and vertically to adjust Space Level.
35 Factory Presets
Find inspiration with 35 factory presets, including Default, 20 presets across Vocals, Leads, Plucks, Synth Bass, and Pads, plus 14 custom presets.
Explore vocal spaces, rhythmic lead echoes, atmospheric pads, and restrained stereo treatments for synth bass. Customize your settings and save your own user presets for future projects.
All included factory presets have their Output control set to 0 dB.

The universal Mac build supports Apple Silicon and Intel. XOROS requires a compatible DAW. Standalone, VST2, and AAX versions are not included.
Installation and Downloads
Your download includes the installer, factory presets, user manual, and installation guide. Close your DAW before installing, then reopen it and rescan plugins if necessary.
On first opening an unactivated plugin, the activation window appears automatically. Paste your 90-character license code to activate. The same code works on Windows and Mac, with activation completed separately on each operating system.
Installation note: The Windows installer is unsigned, and the Mac installer is not notarized. Your operating system may display a security prompt. Follow the included installation guide or contact HighLife Samples for assistance.
